nextlearning e. V. is a non-profit association that creates learning spaces for transformation. We combine education, innovation and cooperation for the common good. Through interdisciplinary approaches, we bring new perspectives into motion.
The future we want must be invented. Otherwise, we will get one we don't want.
Joseph Beuys

We work towards a learning society in which people, organisations and institutions recognise and effectively fulfil their responsibility for a just and regenerative future.
Our intention is to create a world in which knowledge is shared, perspectives are linked and creative resources are made available across disciplines for societal learning.

Supporting transformation – with expertise and attitude
Do you want to contribute to socio-ecological transformation – whether in your job, in an organisation or as a committed citizen?
We offer learning spaces where you can experience and apply systemic thinking, design skills and practical methods – to understand complexity, deal with uncertainty and help shape change responsibly.
nextlearning connects perspectives, imparts knowledge across sectoral boundaries and empowers people to competently accompany change
From idea to initiative – shaping change co-creatively
Do you work on topics such as (bio)regionality, new governance or fair digitalisation?
In our working groups, we jointly develop approaches that drive change forward – co-creatively, systemically and practically.
nextlearning offers space to hone ideas, form alliances and launch joint projects.
Designing learning spaces – for a regenerative future
Would you like to initiate new educational offerings or research projects that enable systemic change?
We bring experience in developing transdisciplinary learning formats, working through participation on an equal footing – with a view to social impact.
nextlearning connects actors from education, politics and civil society – to make learning the foundation for regenerative, equitable visions of the future.

Areas of work
Our work can be described as Creative Transformation Learning – supporting organisations and individuals in building skills and capacity for the 21st century.
We have wide-ranging experience in designing learning environments, including moderation, visualisation and knowledge transfer as well as facilitating processes and establishing networks. In order to help new ideas to become a reality, we create and support formats that enable learning and transformation in the following areas:
Participatory Governance
Improving democracy together
New challenges require new solutions. nextlearning is committed to innovative governance formats, in which different actors interact creatively and collaboratively.
We design formats for participation and co-governance that empower people in organisations and administrations to shape change in a participatory and creative manner.
Education Innovation
Exploring the future of learning
The development of a sustainable society requires a new understanding of education and a new approach to knowledge and learning. nextlearning is involved in the development of new perspectives for the transformation of our educational systems.
We develop new perspectives on education with formats that enable collective learning – beyond formal education systems and in line with real-world challenges.
Regenerative Sustainable Development
Shaping the Anthropocene responsibly
For the first time in the history of our planet, human activity has a irreversible impact on the ecosphere of the Earth. nextlearning is committed to the development of sustainable action models.
We promote regenerative decision-making and action skills in social, economic and political contexts, with a focus on systemic responsibility and resilience.
Economic Transition
For a fair and life-sustaining economy
The last decades have been marked by unprecedented economic growth, resource consumption and waste. nextlearning supports the development of an economy that is regenerative, sensible and accessible to all, within the ecological limits of our planet.
We support the transition to a regenerative and public welfare-oriented economy through capacity building and social innovation.
Cultural Change
Advocating for diversity and expression
Cultural differences, fear of the unknown and perspectives that are difficult to understand can lead to significant conflicts. nextlearning advocates for cultural interaction that is respectful, dialogical and multifaceted.
We strengthen cultural forms of expression, dialogue and understanding in a pluralistic society – as a basis for collaborative learning and action.
